I am currently using the internet service provided buy the hotel to their customers. I am staying at The 4* Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Heathrow. What happened was the flight that was supposed to take me and other passengers to Doha was cancelled due to technical problems. First, it was delayed because another flight was late and the airline has to wait for that flight first, then, it was an electrical power something problem and by that time we had already waited for two hours. Not long after that, we were told that we will be able to board in 10-15 minutes time, and when they had people from the first and business class queued up, the airline made an announcement and told us that due to the power electrical something breakdown, the computer system was affected and they are looking for technicians and spare parts to get the plane fixed.
They told us that fixing the plane is going to take some time, so they had given us lunch vouchers worth £15 per person. Right after lunch, they told us that the flight is cancelled and we have to go through passport control and claim our baggage. By that time it was almost 5pm. At around 6, we reached at the hotel and at 8, dinner was served. Kek diyer sedap. We were also given free breakfast which I didn't get the opportunity to indulged because I did not received any further details about our replacement flights and I had to stand right in front of the person in charged so that I can get the details as soon as possible.
So, I am now on the MH001 direct flight from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur, departing at 2200 hours and arriving at 1725 the next day. Hanis is on the afternoon flight.
I was feeling rather sad and at one point I feel like crying. I was able to refrain myself from crying every time I talked to my mom on the phone. But when I got to know that the flight was cancelled, I called her again and I was crying the moment she said jangan nangis yer. :P. Not my fault, hehe, sedeh tau.
I've taken some photos of the room that they put us in. I'll upload them later k.
Ok then, I'll update things later. Hopefully I will then be blogging from home.
